About the Author:
Sebastian Böhmer

As an industrial engineer and mathematician by training, I draw inspiration from visionaries like George Westinghouse and Benjamin Franklin, and I am on a quest to make an impact beyond venture capital, particularly in the energy sector.

One of my life goals is to be a catalyst, or at the very least, an essential enabler of breakthrough innovation with a meaningful and positive impact. Investing in deep tech startups is my best shot to get there.

Definitely on the spectrum and therefore have the ideal attention span for VC.

Energy is our primary defense against poverty, disorder, hunger, and death. (Steven Pinker). There are no societies with high human development and low energy consumption. That’s why I founded Arteus Energy, a next-generation utility on a mission to deliver gigawatts of abundant, clean energy through an expanding spectrum of technologies.
