Maximilian Ochs

I completed my PhD in Physics, focusing on nanotechnology and optics, where I co-developed nanoantennas to control artificial molecular machines. While this cutting-edge research pushed the boundaries of what’s technically feasible, it offered limited real-world applications. This realization propelled me into the startup world, where I co-founded a company in logistics automation. However, I quickly transitioned to First Momentum Ventures, drawn by the potential to make a broader impact through investing.

At First Momentum, I oversee deep tech investment opportunities, leading investments across sectors like Space Tech, Quantum, Semiconductor, and Compute. I am also co-leading an internal startup incubation project named Telura, which focuses on ultra-deep geothermal energy. Our goal is to unlock unlimited energy anywhere in the world. Stay tuned.
